2004

Young Life begins in brighton

A group of adults learned what Young Life was and how it was not only transforming students' lives, but entire communities. Through prayer and support, Young Life was brought to Brighton. Years later, these same people would start conversations in surrounding communities and Young Life Hartland began.

Through camps, clubs, campaigners, and personal relationships with students, leaders have earned the right to talk to students about Jesus Christ on a weekly basis.

After Young Life had been operating in both Brighton and Hartland, the committees and staff saw a bigger vision: for Young Life to change the lives of students in all of Livingston County. The committees and staff joined forces.

AUSTIN GOBLE

AREA DIRECTOR

Austin is a Brighton High School graduate and has been leading Young Life since attending college at MSU. He has been the Area Director for Brighton since 2019 and is the lead for Young Life Brighton and helps with Wyldlife.

ERIC ANDERSON

AREA DIRECTOR

Eric has been involved with student ministries for a number of years and although has been involved with Young Life for a long time, he officially launched Young Life Howell/Hartland in 2020. Eric is the lead for Young Life Hartland and helps with Wyldlife.

EMMA MCPHERSON

STUDENT STAFF

Emma is a student at the University of Michigan and has been involved with Young Life since the launch of Young Life Howell/Hartland in 2020. She leads in Young Life Hartland, helps with Wyldlife, and assists with administration and support for Eric and Austin.
